The Areabtt of Villavieja del Lozoya proposes a circuit of GPS routes for mountain biking around the Valley of Lozoya and Montes Carpetanos. Routes run by cattle & mountain trails, as well as some stretches on asphalt road. Exist routes for all levels and tastes, whether families, nature lovers or experienced bikers
Villavieja del Lozoya is located at the middle Valley of Lozoya, in the foothills of the Central system, which is known as swell “Montes Carpetanos” and set the limit of the Sierra Norte de Madrid with the province of Segovia. Diverse forest uses of the mount, and the altitudinal variation of more than 1000 meters between the bottom of the valley and the peaks, offers us a very important and variated landscape units from the environmental point of view: riverbank vegetation, oaks, ash, woodlands, mountain pine forests and broom, in which live wild boars, roe deer, vultures, wolves and eagles among many others.
